Jung Career Indicator™(JCI™) determines the likely suitable, from personality type standpoint, careers and areas of education by analyzing natural behavioral preferences of an individual in the four key dimensions of personality type as per theories of C. Jung and I. Briggs Myers.
Jung Career Indicator™ is the only instrument that goes beyond providing a static list of occupations for each of the 16 personality types, by performing a much more granular analysis and providing a list of occupations that is "fine-tuned" (personalized) based on the strengths of individual's preferences in each of the four dimensions of their personality type. Therefore, the results for two people sharing the same 4-letter personality type acronym may have noticeable differences.
The proprietary algorithm used in JCI™ is a result of the research based on a sample representing 40 most popular and high-demand occupations. The sample included over 4,000 respondents who had 3 or more years of experience in their field of occupation and who confirmed their occupation fits their personal preferences and aptitudes. Each participant completed the Jung Typology Test™ (JTT™) assessment that provided the 4-letter typological personality formula and strengths of the preferences in each of the 4 dimensions.
The respondents were divided into 16 segments, one for each of the 16 personality types. For each segment, a list of occupations was formed and ranked by the frequency of occurrence. The cut-off point for determining preferred occupations was 40% from the occupation with the highest frequency. As result, the segments included between 8 to 16 different occupations.
The lists of preferred occupations are further detailed based on the strengths of preferences of the respondents in each dimension of their personality type. The lists of preferred occupations take into account strengths of the preferences.
